INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL STANDARDS

Planning and implementing projects in line with internationally recognized social standards is critical for ensuring sustainability and effectively managing social impacts. This training provides an overview of the core principles of international social standards, their application in project management, and the alignment and differences between national legislation and international frameworks.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

Stakeholder engagement plays a critical role in the sustainable implementation of projects aligned with national and international standards. This module covers stakeholder identification and analysis, development of engagement strategies, and key differences between national regulations and international requirements.

RESETTLEMENT AND LIVELIHOOD RESTORATION

Infrastructure and construction projects often require permanent or temporary land acquisition. International standards (such as IFC, EBRD, and World Bank) provide frameworks to compensate and minimize impacts on affected people’s livelihoods. This training focuses on identifying affected persons, developing socio-economic strategies, and designing and implementing resettlement and livelihood restoration processes.

SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

This module introduces the key concepts of social impact assessment, including identifying project impacts on communities, managing socio-economic risks, ensuring social sustainability, and understanding the role of stakeholder engagement and compliance with national and international standards.

LABOR AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This training provides an overview of labor management and working conditions in line with international standards. It covers workforce management, assessment of working conditions, and key differences between national legislation and international requirements.

GENDER-BASED MANAGEMENT

This module focuses on adopting effective and informed approaches to promote gender equality and empower women within project processes. It introduces key concepts, gender dynamics, and practical strategies to develop inclusive and equitable institutional and social structures.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

This training focuses on integrating CSR into strategic governance frameworks. It addresses the incorporation of social and environmental performance into decision-making processes, the application of human rights–based approaches, and the operational implementation of sustainability principles..
